Visualizations

On this page, you can explore data visualizations of preferences across Greece using choropleth maps and dropdown menus. You can hover over the maps to view detailed data points and additional information about each region. The visualizations are organized into two sets of dropdown menus: (a) preferences derived from PCA analysis and (b) preferences based on aggregated survey data.

You can hover over the maps to view detailed data points and additional information about each region. The visualizations are organized into two sets of dropdown menus choropleth maps:

(a) Preferences derived from PCA analysis on Greek Folklore (Greek Movies, Local Songs, Commercial Songs and Local Newspapers) along with survey data (WVS, EVS and ESS).

(b) Preferences based on our aggregated Survey Dataset.

The following document is the Working Package 1 (WP1) of the project with documentation for the above visualizations with further results and explanations. Also, for better visualization the following excel file show the ranking of preferences per region (1 is the region with the higher value and 47 is the region with the lower value).
